Our little rising star, Purely Enchanted, has one of the most impressive pedigree in our herd, blending the Pure Passion, Conopa XXX, Enchanted and Velvet Touche lines. This male has a very appealing headstyle and a compact and well-balanced frame. He's covered from head to toe in a rich roan coloured fibre that is very uniform and extremely fine. He also has a long staple, good crimp and brightness to his fleece. Just an overall beautiful handle to this male's roan fleece! On top of his delightful look and fleece, PE is also the sweetest boy and a little social butterfly. He is a great farm abassador as he's always the first one to greet us in the barn or meet visitors by the fence.

Although Purely Enchanted was on the smaller side as a juvie, we decided to include him in our 2025 show crew for the Walking Fleece. He went on to win Reserve Champion Roan in Walking Fleece right behind the Supreme Male Champion (Judge's Choice) of the Alpaga Québec 2025 Halter Show and Supreme Champion Walking Fleece! To say he was up against though competition in roan is clearly an understatement! Walking Fleece judge Kevin O'Leary said he really loved this little male and that he had a very bright future! He said he appreciated the fineness and soft handle to his fleece. He was also impressed with the degree of density this male was already expresssing for his age and that his second fleece should be very impressive!

His 2025 EPD results are in and we are absolutely delighted with his results, especially in an undiluted double black genotype! Top 10% for AFD (5.7%) and SF (7.7%), Top 15% (12.3%) for %>30 and Top 25% (20.8%) for SD. We look forward to include him to our herdsire lineup after we complete the 2026 show season with him. We typically don't waste too much time trying to breed 2 yr old males but we will make an exception with this one! He might not be quite ready this summer but time will tell...

UPDATE - JULY 2026: Purely has started breeding and we are currently awaiting to see if we have positive results with the females he was bred to. Stay tuned...
